Teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi is all set to make his maiden appearance as BCCI named India’s squad for the upcoming U19 World Cup 2026 to held in Namibia and Zimbabwe. The team will be captained by Ayush Mhatre and Vihaan Malhotra will serve as his deputy for the tournament.
India are grouped alongside New Zealand, USA and Bangladesh and are aiming for their sixth title. Suryavanshi is heading into the tournament after scoring a 190 from 84 balls during the Vijay Hazare tournament for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh. His explosive effort, which included 16 boundaries and 15 towering sixes, powered Bihar to an unprecedented 574 for 6 in their allotted 50 overs — a world record in List A cricket. The teenager reached the three-figure mark in a mere 36 balls, rewriting the record books as the youngest player ever to score a List A century.
