Jaipur : In Jaipur, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma launched a sharp attack on former CM Ashok Gehlot without naming him directly. Addressing the ‘Rajasthan Yuva Shakti Diwas’ event at Tagore International School in Mansarovar, he criticized the opposition’s functioning.
Taking a dig, Sharma said that some leaders preferred staying in hotels and putting on appearances, while his government is committed to working tirelessly for the people. He added that he draws strength from faith and remains dedicated to public service without pause.
He asserted that his cabinet, MLAs, and public representatives are working 24/7 for the welfare of citizens. He also accused the opposition of avoiding debate on governance and walking out of the विधानसभा (Assembly).
The Chief Minister said he presented his government’s performance report in the Assembly, but the opposition has failed to highlight its own achievements. He emphasized that he will continue to act in the interest of Rajasthan’s people, regardless of criticism.
On corruption, Sharma targeted the opposition over alleged irregularities in the Jal Jeevan Mission, stating that strict action is being taken and no one involved will be spared.
Responding to criticism over his visits to Delhi, he said each trip brings benefits for Rajasthan, while accusing the opposition of traveling there only to save their government in the past.
On the budget, he claimed improvements in the state’s financial condition, noting that per capita income has risen from ₹1.67 lakh to over ₹2 lakh.
