Jaipur: Following the formation of its new national team, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is reportedly preparing for a series of organisational and governmental changes. Speculation over a possible reshuffle has intensified, with indications that the picture could become clearer by 31 August.
Rajasthan is also at the centre of these discussions, with possible changes being speculated at several key levels, including the state party in-charge, the Raj Bhavan and the BJP’s parliamentary board.
Biplab Deb May Be Named Rajasthan BJP In-Charge
As per Hindi daily newspaper “Sach-Bedhadk”, Biplab Deb has emerged as a possible contender for the post of Rajasthan BJP in-charge. The speculation has gained momentum amid reports that the incumbent in-charge, Radhamohan Das Agrawal, could be given a significant responsibility at the Centre.
If the change takes place, Rajasthan BJP could witness a fresh organisational strategy. The new in-charge would be expected to focus on strengthening coordination between the state government and the party organisation, while preparing the BJP for upcoming political challenges.
Radhamohan Das Agrawal May Get Key Role at Centre
There is also growing speculation within BJP circles that Rajasthan in-charge Radhamohan Das Agrawal could be given an important responsibility in the Union government.
However, no official announcement has been made so far. Any decision regarding a ministerial or other key assignment will ultimately rest with the BJP’s central leadership.
Ghanshyam Tiwari’s Name in Governor Appointment Speculation
Another prominent Rajasthan BJP leader, Ghanshyam Tiwari, is also at the centre of speculation over a possible change in responsibility.
His name is reportedly being discussed for the post of Governor of Uttar Pradesh. If the appointment materialises, Tiwari would move from active state politics to a constitutional position.
There has been no official confirmation regarding the proposed appointment so far.
Possible Change at Rajasthan Raj Bhavan
The speculation is not limited to organisational changes within the BJP. There are also indications of a possible change in the office of the Governor of Rajasthan.
Any such move is being viewed in the context of a wider political and organisational reshuffle. However, appointments or changes involving governors are formally announced through the appropriate constitutional process.
Reshuffle in BJP Parliamentary Board Also Possible
Changes are also being discussed in the BJP’s Parliamentary Board, one of the party’s key decision-making bodies.
According to the ongoing speculation, some new faces could be inducted into the board. Any such change would be significant as the Parliamentary Board plays an important role in shaping the party’s major political and organisational decisions.
Amit Shah’s Meetings Add to Speculation
The recent meetings of Union Home Minister Amit Shah with chief ministers and senior BJP leaders from various states have further fuelled speculation about possible organisational changes.
The discussions within the party are reportedly focused not only on restructuring organisational responsibilities but also on creating new political equations in several states.
August 31 Seen as Key Deadline
With speculation intensifying, political circles are now closely watching developments expected by 31 August.
Possible decisions concerning the Rajasthan BJP in-charge, responsibilities at the Centre, gubernatorial appointments and changes to the Parliamentary Board could provide a clearer picture of the BJP’s next organisational and political strategy.
At present, however, the BJP has not officially announced any of these proposed changes. The developments should therefore be viewed as political speculation until formal decisions are announced by the party or the competent constitutional authorities.
